The full DEKA FIT race calendar: 19 upcoming races across 5 countries, with every date and venue. The next is DEKA Lisboa 2026 on 13. Juni 2026.
DEKA FIT is Spartan's indoor functional fitness race, built around 10 standardised stations called DEKA Zones done in a fixed order, with a 500m run before each zone for 5km of running in total. It is held indoors in gyms, arenas and expo halls, and the standardised zones make your score directly comparable event to event.
You can enter as an Individual (with age-group brackets from youth through 70+), as a 2-person team (female, co-ed or male) or as a 4-person team, each with combined-age brackets. Designated loads differ for men, women, youth and older age groups, and equipment is marked at each zone.
DEKA FIT rewards the athlete who can keep moving through 10 loaded stations without the 500m runs blowing up their heart rate. Training that pairs functional strength with repeat running efforts, timed to your event, is what holds your pace together across all 10 zones.

You complete 10 fixed functional-fitness zones in order, running 500m between each one, judged and timed. Zones include rowing, SkiErg, lunges, box step-overs, a farmers carry, an air bike and weighted burpees.
Yes. DEKA is designed as a benchmark anyone can attempt, with age-group brackets and team formats, and DEKA STRONG (no running) is a common entry point before stepping up to DEKA FIT.
