HYROX is a fitness race that pairs 8 x 1km runs with 8 functional workout stations, completed in the same fixed order at every event worldwide. It is held indoors in exhibition arenas, and the standard format is identical whether you race in London, Dallas or Berlin, so your time is directly comparable across the whole global series.
Open uses standard weights and needs no qualifying time, Pro uses heavier loads and a higher wall-ball count. Doubles and Mixed Doubles split the station reps between two athletes, and Relay divides the race across a team of four. Pro entry generally expects a sub-1:05 (men) or sub-1:12 (women) Open finish first. HYROX divisions explained →

The global average is about 1 hour 30 minutes, but first-time Open Men usually finish closer to 1:40-2:00 and first-time Open Women around 1:50-2:15. Experienced athletes commonly finish in the 1:20-1:40 range.
Open uses lighter, more accessible weights and no qualifying standard, so it suits first-timers. Pro uses heavier sled, sandbag and wall-ball loads and a higher wall-ball count, and is aimed at athletes who can already finish Open well under an hour.
Yes. The Open division and the Doubles and Relay formats are designed to be completed by anyone with a base of general fitness, with no qualifying time required to enter.
Eight workout stations, each separated by a 1km run: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls, always in that order.
