GYMRACE is a hybrid fitness race from the Mud Masters team, held in large venues in the Netherlands, Germany and France, and in London through 2026. The course never changes order: five 1km runs, nine functional and machine stations and a 50m sprint finish, timed as one effort with no cut-off time.
You can enter Solo, as Buddies (two athletes who split the station reps freely) or as a Relay team. A HEAVY variant with heavier weights and strict judging runs alongside the regular categories. In the mixed Buddies category the men's weight standard applies. Minimum age is 16.
The official average finish time is around 1 hour 20 minutes, and there is no cut-off time, so you can complete the course at your own pace.
Regular categories use lighter loads and supportive, coaching-style judging, making them accessible to first-timers. The HEAVY tier uses heavier weights and strict competitive judging, with prizes for category winners.
Yes. The Buddies format lets two athletes share the course and split the station reps between them however they like, and there is also a Relay team format.
GYMRACE has five 1km runs and nine stations where HYROX has eight of each, so 5km of running against 8km. It adds a slam-ball carry, kettlebell swings to overhead, dumbbell farmers lunges and a 2,000m BikeErg, which takes its machine work to 4km against HYROX's 2km, and GYMRACE publishes no cut-off time.
Your coach in Telegram builds the weeks between now and 16 October 2027. Runs and loaded stations alternate all the way to the finish, so your coach trains you to run straight off a station.
