What is STYREKX?

STYREKX is an indoor fitness race in the Netherlands and Belgium built from 10 workout stations alternating with 10 runs, 800m each in Regular and Xtreme and 400m in Light. It is staged in expo halls under lights and music, every run, station and transition is chipped separately, and the race closes on the Concept2 StrengthErg, a chest-press machine that made its race debut at this series.

What to expect at STYREKX Nekkerhal Mechelen 2026

  • The order is fixed for every division: row erg, sled push, SkiErg, sandbag lunges, load crawl, sled pull, farmers carry, wall balls, burpee broad jumps, and the StrengthErg last.
  • A run sits between every station, 800m in Regular and Xtreme and 400m in Light, so the running comes to 8km or 4km depending on where you enter.
  • The two ergs are 1,000m each in the 800m divisions and 500m each in Light, and the wall balls are 80 reps against 40.
  • The sled push is the heaviest single load on the course, published between 104kg and 204kg over 40m depending on your division.
  • Your chip records every run, every station and every transition, so the result afterwards tells you which part of the race to go and fix.

Four divisions cover the same course at different weights. Light runs 10 x 400m with lighter loads and bodyweight versions of the sandbag lunge and the load crawl, entered Solo or Duo. Regular is 10 x 800m and is the only division with a Team option alongside Solo and Duo. Xtreme keeps the 800m runs and adds weight everywhere, Solo or Duo. Youngsters is solo only and scaled by age, with 6 runs and 6 stations for ages 8 to 11 and 8 runs and 8 stations for ages 12 to 15.
