What is HYROX?

HYROX is a fitness race that pairs 8 x 1km runs with 8 functional workout stations, completed in the same fixed order at every event worldwide. It is held indoors in exhibition arenas, and the standard format is identical whether you race in London, Dallas or Berlin, so your time is directly comparable across the whole global series.

What to expect at HYROX Acapulco 2026

  • You run 1km, complete one workout station, then run another 1km, repeating until you have finished all 8 runs and 8 stations.
  • The stations run in a fixed order: 1000m SkiErg, 50m sled push, 50m sled pull, 80m burpee broad jumps, 1000m row, 200m farmers carry, 100m sandbag lunges, then wall balls to finish.
  • It is an indoor arena event with staggered start waves, a roxzone connecting the stations, and live timing you can chase against every other athlete in your division.
  • Running makes up roughly half the total time, so pacing the early runs is the single biggest factor in a good finish.

Open uses standard weights and needs no qualifying time, Pro uses heavier loads and a higher wall-ball count. Doubles and Mixed Doubles split the station reps between two athletes, and Relay divides the race across a team of four. Pro entry generally expects a sub-1:05 (men) or sub-1:12 (women) Open finish first. HYROX divisions explained →
