Hybrid Day is one of the largest hybrid fitness competitions in the Iberian Peninsula, pairing 8km of running (a 1km run before each station) with 8 functional stations. It is held at striking venues across Portugal and Spain, from the Estoril racing circuit to stadiums and air bases, and follows the same HYROX-style format that makes results comparable across events.
You can enter as Singles, Doubles or Relay, each with Open and Pro divisions. Individuals race in Elite plus Masters age categories (35+, 40+, 45+, 50+) for men and women, and Doubles run as male, female or mixed teams.
It follows the 8-station hybrid format: 8km of running with a 1km run before each of 8 functional stations, including SkiErg, sled push and pull, rowing, a farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls.
Both cover the same course, but Pro uses heavier loads and is aimed at experienced athletes, while Open uses more accessible weights and suits first-timers. Singles, Doubles and Relay each have Open and Pro options.
Yes. The Open division and the Doubles and Relay formats are built to be completed by anyone with a base of general fitness, with no qualifying time required.
